“ Bangladeshi cuisine, very welcoming In a warm way, very rare to find this In this day and age. The chai Is amazing as well as many other things on the menu, my favourite Is the sweet tamarind chips and chickpea wrap. Not oiling food and has that home taste quality. Highly recommended! ”
“ Delicious food from a nice family run cafe. Recommend the biryani and murugh. The chicken samosas with sauce were excellent. We’ll be back! ”
“ Warm hospitality and delicious food! The back garden is lovely to sit in and quiet even on Saturday for lunch. No wait to sit down and the owner recommended many dishes for us to try. She also gave us samples of Cha. Everything was delicious and well presented. The hot pink cha was particularly pretty! We hope to come back soon! ”
“ This is one of St Albans' hidden gems. I come here every day for the Deshi Cha: authentic chai that's truly wonderful. The menu is hugely varied for a cafe this size, covering everything from breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner 2 nights a week and puddings and sweet treats. The decor is lovely, with a hand painted murals on the wall and on the gate leading in, and lots of authentic touches. The food is outstanding. The service is exceptional, Bushra remembers everyone's name and you are treated like a guest in the family's home. Come here once and you'll return many times. Can't recommend enough. ”
“ Small family run restaurant with the friendliest staff & insanely tasty Bangladeshi food!! The dhal & pani puri was one of the best I’ve had. Fresh tasting ingredients at such a reasonable price. Possibly my new fav spot in town! We will be back soon ”
“ I had a fantastic experience at this place! The food was delicious, and the masala tea was spot-on. The customer service was top-notch, making the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, perfect for unwinding. I highly recommend checking this spot out—I'll definitely be returning! ”
“ Top quality interesting and very tasty Bengali nosh here. Full marks for trying to be a bit different that standard Bangladeshi indian cuisine catering to western palates. Also nice to see a woman fronting this with female chef with a great personality. We are outside in courtyard which given weather could maybe do with a little more heating. Ignore bogus reviews this is worth a visit ”
“ Amazing food and service. Atmosphere here is also 10/10 great traditional decor and seating area. Only place I have been that does full traditional Bengali food Staff where very friendly would definitely recommended and will visit again for sure ”
